How it works

Every file becomes a searchable, cited database in four steps, no matter whether the matter is litigation, medical records, or an investigation.

Send

Ship the boxes, drop the files on an encrypted drive, or give me a download link. I log the page count and check every file against what arrived, so there is a record of exactly what came in before anything is touched.

Build

I run OCR first, then build the database at the level you chose. Every page keeps its source file, its Bates number, and its position in the production all the way through. New records that show up after the build is done, such as late discovery, go into the database and connect to everything already there the same day. When it's done, so is your night.

Hand over

You receive the completed database, along with everything included at your level: a first-pass chronology and a roster of people and organizations at Level 2 and up, and your practice area's law at Level 3. Tips on using and interacting with the assistant are provided at signing. Or, if you chose retained service, I keep it running on my own equipment and stay on as your investigator.

If it helps, I can review how your team interacts with the assistant daily for the first two days after delivery and weekly after that, and send along suggestions based on what I see.

Ask

Your team asks a question, in plain English. The assistant searches the record, and the law if you loaded it, and answers with the document and page it came from. No bare assertions; every answer is cited.

What you receive

Searchable PDFs, page for page, originals untouched. The completed database, yours outright. A written inventory of every source loaded, with edition and retrieval date. At Level 2 and up, a roster of people and organizations, a dated chronology, and a contradictions list, each cited to page. At Level 3, the practice-area authority set, unified with the evidence in one search.

What you need

A modern computer. Built on Amazon Web Services and Google Cloud, nothing homemade. You keep your files, your keys, and your AI service. Safe, reliable, no service calls.

Timelines

Turnaround is scoped to the size of the production and confirmed in the quote before work begins. Rush service, under 5 business days, is available for an added 50 percent.

Security along the way

Every file is checked on intake, so nothing is lost, duplicated, or reordered without it being caught. The assistant can search the record but cannot change it. Hosted, retained builds are kept separate from every other matter and wiped with a written certificate at case close. Files stay under your firm's control. I keep no copy after delivery is confirmed, unless you ask in writing to leave one with me.
