Hosted for the case

The database lives on my equipment, not yours.

New records get connected the same day they arrive, and I stay on as your investigator the whole time. At case close you get the finished database; my copy is wiped and certified destroyed.

If you would rather not run a database on your own hardware, I build it on mine, keep it live for the life of the case, and stay on as your investigator. When new records show up mid-case, such as late discovery, they go into the database and connect to everything already there the same day, instead of sitting in a stack waiting to be reviewed.

How it works

  • I build the database at whatever level the matter needs, Lookup, Investigative, or Litigation-ready, on my own equipment rather than yours.
  • Your team reaches the assistant and the database over a secure private connection, with its own sign-in for each person on your staff and no ability to change what is in the file.
  • I stay on as the retained investigator for the matter. When a filing lands or a fact needs verifying, I am already inside the record.

Isolation

Every client matter lives in its own database, walled off from every other matter and from anything else I run. No client's data is ever searchable from another client's case, and none of it is folded into any shared index. This is not a shared platform with client folders; it is a separate, isolated build per case.

What is included

  • Hosting, with nightly off-box backups and monitoring.
  • Authority refresh at Level 3, if the matter is litigation-ready.
  • A monthly allotment of investigator hours, with any overage quoted in writing before it is billed.
  • Every answer cited to document and page, same as a build on your own equipment.

At case close

You receive the completed database, the same deliverable as a Level 1 through 3 build, so nothing is lost by having hosted rather than run it yourself. I wipe my copy and provide a written certificate of destruction.

Price

Monthly retainer for the duration of the case, quoted at signing based on the level and the hours your matter needs. The build fee for the chosen level is billed in the first month.

Retained-for-the-case slots are limited and are taken in the order engagement agreements are signed.
